Cycling is easy in this area as it is an even ride to most destinations, and Lachine boasts a fairly good cycling infrastructure.

The character of Lachine is exemplified by its calm ambience. There is a fair amount of greenery in this area as the tree canopy coverage for many streets is good. This area is also very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although there are still several louder sections, especially closer to one of the railway lines, Autoroute du Souvenir or Autoroute de la Côte-de-Liesse.
