Situated within the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, Tam O'Shanter Ridge is a neighbourhood within Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Commuting by car is straightforward in this part of Halifax. Many properties for sale are a rather short car ride from the nearest highway, and it is easy to access a parking spot. However, Tam O'Shanter Ridge is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most residences. It is occasionally challenging for pedestrians to get around in this part of Halifax since carrying out daily needs is at times difficult by walking. However, this area is quite cycling-friendly.

Services

Some property owners in Tam O'Shanter Ridge may be able to reach the closest supermarket on foot, while others will have to rely on another means of transportation. A small number of restaurants are available in this part of the municipality as well. As far as education is concerned, families will appreciate that no matter where their home is situated in this neighbourhood, daycares and schools are close by.
