I've dealt with a couple of agent before, but Ken was different!
It was a wonderful experience that he gave us so many suggestions and put 100% effort into his work.
I couldn't sell my home in the active market for more than 75 days and couldn't sleep well because of nightmares before we decided to change our agent to Ken.
Ken sold our home in the slow market within two weeks after the rate hike, and he saved our life since we couldn't close a deal for our new home before we sold our existing home with our targeting price.

I've used Ken twice more since my last Review. He sold another assignment for me which was a painful process due to the developer but Ken managed to navigate it well and got me what I was asking for it.
The second was far easier, he sold a condo of mine in Mount Pleasant. He advertised it beautifully with a wonderful video and great photos. He sold it for asking price on the first day of showings.
I've used Ken for 5 properties now and still can't recommend him enough.

Ken was amazing! During the sale of our home, Ken has shown dedication like no other realtors. Simon and I are soooo fortunate in getting connected with Ken Hu of the Macdonald Realty during our selling in Vancouver and our search for a new home in Burnaby and North Shore.
We had sold our home in Vancouver with Ken’s super help (sold our current home within a month, thanks Ken! I know we can’t do this without you!) and would like to move in to Burnaby/North Vancouver for our dream house. It was a bit hectic and perhaps even traumatic to leave such a beautiful home in Vancouver--- leaning on Ken during this transition sure made it a lot less stressful to say the least! Ken is a rockstar. I started working with Ken last year when I was in the initial stage of home-buying. Ken was extremely knowledgeable and helped demystify the entire process. He helped us look at multiple properties and got a better understanding of our requirements. He was available sometimes at very short notice and had a great attitude. Finally we found the place with Ken's help and then he helped us with the purchase formalities, which otherwise seem like a burden.

As a first time home buyer, Ken had been amazing. He is very patient with me and walks me through every single step of the process. As a first time buyer, I had thought that it would be a very scary process to go through, but Ken made it exceedingly easy for me. Pretty much too care of every single detail of the process for me.
I also did not know exactly what kind of property I wanted to purchase. He stayed with me the entire time to slowly help me figure out what factors I actually cared about. Such as age, location, view, layout...etc. Ken was happy to show me as many properties as I wanted to help me figure out what I liked.
On top of that, Ken doesn't just stop at the real estate side. He helped me out on finding contacts with lawyers, inspectors, contractors...etc. With every single question or bump along the way, I would ask Ken for help and he always had an answer or know who to direct me to.

We worked with three different agents in the past five years, and our experience working with Ken was by far the most successful and beyond outstanding in our recent purchase of our house. To start, Ken is not one of those agents who likes to throw numbers at you (to dazzle you with recent real estate reports, trends in the market, etc.) or try to manipulate you with numbers/stats. He really tries to understand our needs, our preferences, our priorities, and what we look for for a house.
When going to see private showings with us, he would give us his honest opinions about the houses; and what I appreciate the most about him is that he's WILLING to ask any questions and make requests for us on our behalf during negotiate process. Not a lot of agents are like this -- like really put himself in buyers' situation! We had used agents before who would tell us "it's not possible..., this is reasonable given..." when it comes to making requests. Ken, on the other hand, not only helped us ask what we want to ask but he also followed through with these requests, and he stayed on top of things. We don't need to constantly remind him, check on him, HE TAKES INITIATIVES AND FOLLOWS THROUGH!!
Before our subject removal date, he even made a trip to City Hall to make sure there's no 'right of way' on the land and making sure all the permits are in place and looks OK. This gesture really just shows us how *Above and Beyond* he is in his work!! I highly recommend Ken to our families and friends, and if in the near future we are selling/buying again, we will definitely come back to Ken Hu!

When we were searching for our next place to live, we contacted Ken to help us to search our potential place to live based on our criteria and price range. We were lucky Ken was repending us at the time as he helped found our current home was able to negotiate to a reasonable price in a nice neighborhood which we would never thought we would be able to afford and live in. During the negotication process with the seller, Ken acts very professionally and strategically to negotiate down the price that we were comfortable with not simply demand their client keep raising the money without a proper plan in order to win the purchase.
What we appreciate the most is once the sale ie completed, Ken takes the inititive and continute to follow up with the seller on some existing issues which were promised to fixed but hasn't been completed until things has been done. A lot of time real estate agent left the picture already as soon as the transaction is completed and buyers are pretty much on their own.
I would recommend Ken to others if anyone who is looking for their next place to buy/sell as we had deal with other real estate agents and the experience is not the same comparing to Ken.

Ken had helped us sell our apartment during this very hard market and was able to get us a fair price that we were comfortable with. He had also helped us buy a property that we liked. I met Ken roughly 5 months ago when he contacted me about an assignment property I was attempting to sell on my own. Unlike the many others who previously contacted me to offer their services Ken’s approach was very casual and friendly, non pressured yet still professional so I entertained his request to meet. Once meeting with Ken and establishing my expectations and getting a feel for one another I agreed to let him sell it for me. Within 2 weeks Ken sold my place with multiple offers and for the amount I was seeking, I’ve bought and sold multiple properties previously working with various agents and never had a sale go so smoothly and stress free as I did working with Ken. I was so pleased with with his work that I had him sell two more assignment properties I owned, one selling over asking with multiples offers and the other selling for asking with multiple offers.
