Transportation

This neighbourhood is an extraordinarily good part of Toronto for moving around by car. It is convenient to park, and most properties for sale are a rather short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Highway 401. However, travelling by public transit is at times challenging in Port Union. Nevertheless, property owners are served by a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is usually very close. Port Union is conducive to biking. However, this neighbourhood is not especially suitable for walking because meeting daily needs is at times difficult without the use of a vehicle.

Services

Accessing the nearest supermarket by walking is possible for some, but not all, home buyers in Port Union. There are also a few choices for those who appreciate restaurants and cafes in close proximity. As far as education is concerned, in Port Union, families will typically be able to reach both primary and secondary schools on foot. In contrast, there are only a very small number of daycares and accordingly they can be a very long walk away.

Character

Port Union is a very good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm environment. Greenery is reasonably present in this part of Toronto; public green spaces, such as Wanita Park and Lower Highland Creek, are very well-located and there are about 20 of them nearby for residents to relax in, which makes them very easy to get to. In addition, residents will find that there are numerous tree-lined streets. This part of Toronto is also very quiet, as there are low levels of noise from traffic.
