Transportation

Driving is very often the best method of transportation in Windsor Junction. Finding a place to park is easy. A majority of the houses for sale in this community are located in areas that are not very suitable for those who travel by foot as most day-to-day needs are very impractical to meet by walking. Bicycling is also difficult in this area as there are a good number of slopes to challenge cyclists, and this part of the municipality has a quite poor cycling infrastructure.

Services

Windsor Junction does not have any high schools or primary schools. In addition, families may consider it very difficult for their kids to get to daycares as a pedestrian. In terms of eating, property owners in Windsor Junction almost always have to use a vehicle to do groceries.

Character

Windsor Junction offers a calm atmosphere. Windsor Junction is very good for those who prefer quiet areas, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic. Parks aren't well-spread out, making it sometimes hard to get to them from the majority of locations within the community. Despite that, there are a few green spaces nearby for residents to visit.

Housing

About one third of homes in Windsor Junction were constructed following the year 2000, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1980s. The large proportion of single detached homes in the housing stock of this community is an important part of its character. Nearly all of the dwellings in the community are occupied by homeowners and the rest are rented. Notably, this part of Halifax is good for those looking for four or more bedroom homes.
