Situated within the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, Lake Loon is a community within Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Driving is a very good transportation option in Lake Loon. It is especially convenient to park. In contrast, the public transit network in this part of the municipality is not very accessible. Thankfully, the community is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most properties. Lake Loon is not very suitable for those who travel by foot because running daily errands is inconvenient. The bicycle is a sometimes poor mode of transportation in this part of the municipality since there are few bike lanes, and there are a good number of hills for cyclists to brave.

Services

Reaching the nearest grocery store on foot is possible for some, but not all, property owners in Lake Loon. With regards to education, it is a reasonably short walk to access daycares and primary schools from any location in this community. However, there are no high schools in Lake Loon.
