Transportation

Cars are an excellent transportation option in Fall River. It is very convenient to find a place to park. The bicycle is a rather limited means of transportation in this area because the cycling infrastructure is fairly poor, and bicycling is made difficult by the typically steep terrain. Many of the houses for sale in this community are located in places that are also not very well-suited for walking as very few daily errands can be run on foot.

Services

In all but a very small number of cases, a vehicle is required to buy groceries. There are also a few opportunities for those who appreciate close by restaurants. When it comes to education, families may consider it very difficult for their kids to access high schools and primary schools as pedestrians.

Character

The character of Fall River is exemplified by its calm environment. There are approximately 30 parks nearby for residents to discover, including Lockview High School Park and Unnamed Park, which makes them easy to reach. This part of Halifax is very quiet overall, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic.

Housing

The predominance of single detached homes in the housing stock of Fall River is an important part of its character. About one third of properties in this area were constructed following the year 2000, while most of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1980s. This part of the municipality is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Around 90% of the population of this community own their home and renters make up the remainder.
