The community of Dutch Settlement is part of the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Dutch Settlement is an extraordinarily convenient part of Halifax for travelling by car. Parking is easy. This part of the municipality is not very conducive to cycling as the cycling network is quite poor, and there are a good number of elevation changes. Dutch Settlement is also not very convenient for those who travel by foot as running common errands is nearly impossible.
