Transportation

Heritage Park is very car friendly. It is a short drive to the nearest highway from anywhere in this neighbourhood, and it is easy to access a place to park. In contrast, the public transit system in Heritage Park is not very convenient. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually just around the corner. This area is reasonably conducive to bicycling because the cycling infrastructure is reasonably good. Heritage Park is not particularly conducive to walking as few common errands can be run on foot.

Parents and their kids will appreciate that wherever their home is located in Heritage Park, schools and daycares are nearby. In terms of eating, in all but a few cases, a car is required to buy groceries. Nonetheless, reaching the closest pharmacy and thus some basic food items is typically easy. This area is also very quiet, as the streets tend to be very calm.

In Heritage Park, around 40% of buildings are small apartment buildings, and the remainder are mainly large apartment buildings and single detached homes. This part of Winnipeg also has a good selection of unit sizes; properties range from lofts to four or more bedrooms. The population residing in this area is evenly split between renters and owners. This neighbourhood experienced its main building boom between 1960 and 1980, so most of the available homes are from this era.
