Situated in the Greater Winnipeg metropolitan area, Crestview is a neighbourhood within Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Transportation

Driving is a great mode of transportation in Crestview. It is convenient to park, and most real estate listings are a very short car ride from the closest highway. However, Crestview is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most properties. Cycling is at times difficult in Crestview because the bicycling network is rather poor. Nevertheless, it is a flat ride to most destinations. Crestview is also not particularly conducive to walking as few day-to-day needs can be carried out on foot.

Services

Families will welcome that wherever their property is situated in this area, daycares and schools are nearby. When it comes to eating, a supermarket is usually accessible within a short walk from most houses for sale in this part of the city. There are also a few choices for those who care about nearby restaurants and cafes.

Character

The character of Crestview is exemplified by its slower-paced atmosphere. Public green spaces, such as Sturgeon Creek Parkway-a, are very well-spread out and there are approximately 10 of them close by for residents to visit, making them very easy to get to. This part of Winnipeg is also wonderful for those who like quiet surroundings, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic.

Housing

Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing around 55% of dwellings in Crestview, while small apartment buildings and townhouses are also present in the housing stock. This area offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Around two thirds of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and the remainder are renters. This part of Winnipeg experienced its largest building boom between 1960 and 1980, so most of the available housing is from this time period.
