Situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area, Renfrew is a neighbourhood within Vancouver, British Columbia.

Transportation

Regardless of the medium of transportation, it is convenient to travel in this neighbourhood. Thanks to various nearby rapid transit stations with access to the Expo Line and Millennium Line, and approximately 10 nearby bus lines, Renfrew has a very good public transit system. Travelling on foot is also convenient for property owners in Renfrew; many day-to-day needs can be carried out without the use of a vehicle, and various businesses are quite close by. A fair number of residents in the area use their bicycle because there are a good number of bike lanes.

Services

Daycares and schools are straightforward to walk to from anywhere in Renfrew. Besides public schools, there are private elementary and high schools. In terms of eating, a general and a specialty grocery store is always only a short walk away in this part of the city. Furthermore, a restaurant is often just around the corner, for example along Boundary Road, and there are also a few coffee shops in this neighbourhood.

Character

Home buyers who prefer a slower-paced ambience will enjoy Renfrew. This area is reasonably quiet overall, as there are low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case closer to Trans-Canada Highway or one of the railway lines. Lastly, the majority of locations within the neighbourhood have reasonably good access to parks, such as Renfrew Ravine Park and Falaise Park, since there are a few of them close by for residents to check out.

Housing

In Renfrew, about half of dwellings are duplexes, but small apartment buildings and single detached homes are also present in the housing stock.
