Valley North is a community within Chilliwack, British Columbia, which is situated in the Greater Chilliwack metropolitan area.

Transportation

Cars are a great means of transportation in Valley North. It is a reasonably short car ride to the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, from anywhere in this part of Chilliwack, and finding a parking spot is easy. However, the public transit system in Valley North is not very accessible. Nonetheless, homeowners are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most houses. Valley North is not very convenient for walking since few daily needs can be met without the use of a car. In contrast, this part of Chilliwack is appropriate for cycling.

Services

It is a rather short walk to reach primary schools from most properties for sale in this area. In contrast, parents may find it challenging for their children to reach high schools as a pedestrian. Residents benefit from public and private schools at both the primary and high school level. With regards to food, a portion of property owners in this area may be able to travel to the closest grocery store on foot, while others will need another means of transportation. There are also a few choices for those who appreciate nearby restaurants.

Character

Valley North is a very good community to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. Valley North is very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although there are still several louder sections, especially near Trans-Canada Highway or one of the railway lines. Green spaces aren't well-spread out, which makes it very difficult to reach them.

Housing

About 30% of homes in Valley North were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s.
