My wife and I decided on Martin as our selling agent based on two factors. One is the fact that Martin probably sells 80% of the units in our neighbourhood. Second is the the fact that he was the selling agent when we bought our place years ago. We asked Martin for free evaluation as it was hard to judge what our place was worth based on the upgrades we made and the crazy market. Turns out it was the best decision ever made. Martin knew right away what was upgraded and what was original as he really does know the area really well. He explained to us the whole process of selling and sketched a plan of action during our first meeting. Knowing the amount of money we could expect gave us confidence to pursue our dream of finding a detached home with a yard so our dog and baby could enjoy it. We didn't want to list our place 'till we buy new one. Martin made all necessary arrangements including professional photos and video walkthrough ahead of time which meant he could list our place on a short notice. Since we didn't have a buying agent Martin suggested his wife Beata Kinal. This was another great decision. Beata specializes in buying places and she is excellent at it. Once again, we were told ahead of time what to expect, what to have ready and how the whole process works (which btw. is a little bit different then what it was when we were buying the first time or even when we were buying a cottage few years ago) She made great suggestions about the places we were interested in which saved us time, effort and money. She always knew a lot about the neighbourhoods we visited and pointed out pros and cons. Also, Beats wasn't trying to find just "a house" for us. She understood our needs and wants which we believe saved us from buying a place we would regret later. Thanks to her preparedness and aggressive strategy we managed to buy our dream new place for less than we thought we would have to pay even with 4 other offers on the table. Beata's strategy to make us ready for quick buy saved us at least 100K. We bough our new place on Saturday night and Martin listed our place on Monday with no offers accepted till Thursday, The interest in our place was huge. We were basically living in my wife's sister's place as there were so many appointments to view the place since day one. By Thursday we had 6 offers on the table and sold the place same day for way more than we expected:) Great work guys! Would we use Martin and Beata again? Yes! Why? Professional approach, great personality, great communication and strategies that work. BTW. did we mention that they made us money and saved us money...:)
