The neighbourhood of Saddle Ridge is part of the city of Calgary, Alberta, which is situated in the Greater Calgary metropolitan area.

Transportation

This neighbourhood will appeal to homeowners that use various means of transportation. The reasonably good public transit infrastructure allows people to get to many destinations without needing a car as a consequence of Saddletowne Station on the Blue Line - Saddletowne/69 Street CTrain, and approximately 10 nearby bus lines. Physically active home buyers will also welcome the quite pedestrian-friendly nature of this neighbourhood, although running common errands is sometimes challenging without a car. This area is reasonably conducive to bicycling because there are a limited number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave, and Saddle Ridge has a reasonably good cycling infrastructure.

Services

Some, but not all, home buyers in Saddle Ridge will live within walking distance of the nearest supermarket. There are also a few choices for those who care about restaurants and cafes in close proximity. Concerning education, parents and their children will find that wherever their home is situated in Saddle Ridge, both primary and secondary schools are nearby. In contrast, daycares are not very plentiful and thus not always within walking distance.
